Tips and Suggestions for Traveling without plot-involvement

These aren’t rules, they’re strongly suggested guidelines.

At some point in your journey, make mention of:

  1. Cultural elements of the land you are traveling in (check out the lore)
  2. Who is with you
    1. Note: you cannot RP for other PCs that are not yours.
    2. You may never interact with your other PCs or NPCs, the universe will explode
  3. The weather you encounter (see the FB group for the climate map)
  4. Animals you see (see the FB group for the bestiary map and beast descriptions)
  5. A random encounter
    1. Examples of random encounters: (I put dice rolls in if you want to use the random adventure option)
      • 1: You encounter goblins (most likely a fight, unless you are a greenskin)
      • 2: Attacked by wolves
      • 3: Attacked by whatever beasts live in the area you are exploring
      • 4: You trip on a stone/fall in a hole and break a leg
      • 5: You eat poisoned berries (unless you have potion making or toxicologist, then you know better)
      • 6: You encounter a family being attacked by bandits
      • 7: You encounter a natural hazard/disaster (road flooded, storm, etc)
      • 8: Nothing happens, boring trip
      • 9: Attacked by bandits (unless you have master tracker, then you see signs of them and avoid them)
      • 10: You find a trog egg
      • 11: You encounter a funny/hostile/grumpy/flatulent traveler
      • 12: You encounter another traveler, fall hopelessly in love, and have your heart broken when they are eaten by a troll
      • Or, choose your own adventure, but remember that rarely does a trip happen on Azkon without some kind of adversity

Keep in mind that traveling with merchants/traders should be safer, but they’ll only be going to cities.

Also, traveling with a larger party will typically be safer.
